November 30, 2009 : Posted by: admin : Category: Computers : Comments (0) : Add Comment

The Yu-Gi-Oh! series of games has undergone several incarnations and has been completely redesigned for this version on the DS. Players will roam in the 3D world that covers the 5D series. Normal and tag duels are both present and the addition of the Turbo duel to the mix adds a little more frantic fun. The main story-based game is a full-on RPG which offers chances to earn DP to buy new cards.

The tutorial side of the game is hidden in the World Championship section and takes a little finding. The playing interface is nearly perfect on the touch-screen, milking the stylus for all it is worth. Relevant info is displayed on the upper screen. Gameplay is faster and more streamlined, ramping up the sense of action within a duel.

With over 2 800 cards to collect and use and a host of hidden bits and pieces stashed away in the Story mode, players will be at this for an awfully long time. Wireless and online play only extend this lifetime further. Essential for fans, a bit meh for the uninitiated.
